This is a 115 V element, wired in series with other elements inside the appliance. Never connect it alone directly to a 230 V supply — refit it exactly in the position and wiring of the original.

This part is the heating coil only. The quartz tube it sits in is a separate part — replace the tube too if it is cracked, cloudy or blackened.

Installation

• Isolate the appliance from the mains and let it cool completely.
• Remove the quartz tube, slide the old coil out and insert the new coil without stretching it.
• Handle the quartz tube with clean gloves or a cloth — skin oil on the glass shortens tube life.
• Reconnect exactly as the original wiring and refit the tube in its holders.
• Installation should be carried out by a qualified catering-equipment technician.
