Description

The Masterfrost C250FA is a compact under-counter ice maker producing up to 28kg of bullet-shaped ice every 24 hours into a 12–13kg bin. It runs from a standard 13 amp socket, which makes it straightforward to site in a bar back-counter or a small kitchen without a dedicated power circuit.

Model note: the C-Series produces hollow bullet ice and has been superseded by the M-Series solid gourmet cube. Confirm current availability and spare parts support before specifying it for a new installation.

Choosing the right capacity

Size on peak daily demand, not the daily average. A working rule for a restaurant is 1 to 1.5 kg of ice per cover per day; bars, hotels and banqueting run considerably higher. The bin is the buffer between production and service, so a venue with sharp evening peaks needs bin capacity more than headline output.

Installation requirements

The unit needs a potable water supply, a drain and clearance around the condenser intake for airflow. Published output assumes normal inlet water temperature — hotter feed water reduces production. A water filter is strongly recommended on Qatar mains to limit scale on the evaporator and keep the ice clear. Installed and commissioned by EKT in Doha.
