Before You Order – Voltage Check

EGO marks the voltage on the plate: 230V plates have no colour marking, 240V blue, 400V red, other voltages green. This 230V plate carries no colour marking. Never install a plate on a different supply voltage – a lower-voltage plate burns out, a higher-voltage plate runs far below its rated power.

Installation

• Isolate the range from the mains before removing the old plate.
• Connect the terminals exactly as the original wiring and fix the earth lug.
• Seat the plate on its 4 supporting discs so it sits level with the range top.
• On first use, heat at a low setting for a few minutes to burn off the protective coating (light smoke is normal).
• Installation should be carried out by a qualified catering equipment technician.
