Overview

Square cast-iron electric hot plate, 220 x 220 mm, rated 2600 W at 230 V, supplied with a spill ring, a thermal protector and four screw clamp terminals. This is the OEM-equivalent heating plate used across more than forty European commercial range brands, and is identified by Electrolux reference 3311053, Alpeninox 006220 / 0A2198 / 0A2199, Ambach 5062502365 / 5062502395 and Angelo Po 3018350.

Check the voltage before you order

Four plates in this family share the same 220 x 220 mm square body and spill ring and cannot be told apart by eye. Read the appliance rating plate or the marking on the removed plate first:

• 490066 – 2600 W, 230 V – this product
• 490068 – 2600 W, 400 V
• 490208 – 2600 W, 440 V
• 490065 – 2000 W, 230 V

When this plate needs replacing

• The plate stays cold, or heats on one side only, after the energy regulator and switch test good.
• An open circuit or an out-of-tolerance resistance reading across the element terminals.
• A cracked, dished or warped cast surface that stops pans sitting flat.
• Corrosion or burn marks around the terminal block under the plate.
• The thermal protector trips repeatedly with a correctly sized pan on a clean plate.

Installation

Isolate the appliance at the mains before removing the top panel. Photograph the existing wiring before disconnecting it, transfer the leads one at a time, and torque the four screw clamps to the manufacturer figure. Confirm earth continuity of the new plate before returning the unit to service. Installation should be carried out by a qualified technician.
